Clogged heating filters
When heating filters become clogged, they will cut down on a heating system’s efficiency and, over time, potentially cause other parts to wear out. The filters in your heating unit should be cleaned or replaced according to manufacturers specifications. In particular disposable filters should be checked, and changed as required, on a monthly basis, particularly during winter season. furnace turns off frequently
A dirty Thermostat can be the culprit that makes your furnace turning off frequently, or when it should not. Take off the Thermostat cover and very gently clean the delicate components with a soft clean rag. If this does not solve the issue another possibility is that the heat anticipator unit needs to be adjusted. You will find this device located in the center of the Thermostat. heat exceeds set temperature
If the heat in your home exceeds the set temperature the Thermostat is set for, then there are two likely causes. The first thing to check is to see if the Thermostat has become crooked on the wall. Just looking at it should tell you. If you believe this is the case then take the cover off of the Thermostat, and loosen the mounting screws that are holding the Thermostat to the wall. gas furnace makes noise
Furnaces make noise, no question about it. The gas burner itself makes some noise. When the motor start it also makes noise. The air circulating can make some noise as well. Having said that if your furnace is making too much noise then something is clearly off or wrong.
